The best music shop I've ever seen. Lots of rare guitars and amps in pristine condition (and great prices). Michael was beyond knowledgeable and friendly. There's a huge difference between Moondog & the corporate music shops. You'll definitely appreciate it. Five stars (because 6 wasn't an option)!!!

My Telecaster had been running without the neck pickup for months after I got a little too intense on stage one night. I considered fixing it myself, but my knowledge of these things is rudimentary at best. Being new to the area, I took it to Moondog after some recommendations and immediately felt confident about my decision from my conversation with Mike. Two days later I got a call indicating he'd already finished. Not only was it a far lower price than I'd expected, he was also detailed in explaining what he'd done (with photos) and even did a little extra just to make sure my Tele was in the best shape possible. This guitar sounds better than ever, thanks again!

Mike gave me back the BEST possible guitar set up for the money! I've read another review that mentions that he wasn't open on time. For the quality of his work and his pricing, I will GLADLY take the human factors that might cause him troubles in opening on time! My first experience, but I think he hit a home run. I will be back Mike, and with a slightly more demanding job, but I'm VERY pleased with my first session playing the guitar you set up for me! THANK YOU! 🙂

Friendly and informative is how I would describe Moondog Mike's Music Shop. And a good deal on used equipment! He set me up with some nice powered speakers to daisy chain from my Bose system. I'd much rather support a local business than some mega-chain. Thanks, Mike!

This place is the BEST music store in Colorado Springs that I have found, and I am pretty confident that I've exhausted them all. I went in looking for a banjo for my husband, and the owner was so nice and helpful. I would say that this is one of the few places in town that has both a good selection of high-end string instruments for the pro AND affordable ones for a beginner. He was also honest with me about the quality I could expect at a certain price point but was not at all pushy. He ordered an additional banjo for me to look at, letting me know that he wanted to have it in stock anyway. I will definitely be returning here for any future work on our banjo or uke, and I may even sign us up for some lessons.
